Bobber, Teich and Pippin Secures $1.535 Million for Chicago Elevator Injury Case
January 29 – Bobber, Teich & Pippin secured a $1.535 million settlement for a Chicago area woman who suffered a traumatic brain injury caused by a defective elevator in her apartment building. Attorneys Michael Teich and Myles Maltz filed a lawsuit against the building management and maintenance company who were operating a fifty-year-old elevator that was in need of repair and renovation.
The elevator door opened when the elevator floor was not level with the landing, causing the firm’s client to fall and strike her head. The firm was able to demonstrate that the defendants were warned about the dangerous condition beforehand but failed to act, and the defendants agreed to settle shortly before trial.
Our attorneys will consistently fight to hold defendants accountable for their actions and protect our clients. BTP is pleased that this case concluded in a manner that gave our client the justice she deserves.
